About Us

Sitkum (sit’-kum) is a word from the Chinuk Wawa pidgin language meaning ‘‘half’’ or ‘‘middle.’’ Chinuk Wawa began as a means of communication between the indigenous tribes of the Pacific Northwest region of North America, enabling intertribal commerce.

Sitkum Systems is proudly based in Seattle, Washington. We tap into the thriving tech culture of the Puget Sound region, as well as the world-class machine learning research center at the University of Washington.
